A pillowcase with real texture underfoot, or rather under-cheek, cotton velvet on the face, a plain cotton chambray reverse, so one side reads soft and lived-in and the other stays crisp. Vivaraise is a French textile house from the Ardeche, founded in the 1970s on crocheted bedspreads and shaped since by founder's daughter Esther Blanchard's travels to India, which is where the brand's love of texture and warm, layered colour comes from.
